Born on 30th July 1973 in Faridabad, Sonu Nigam is a famous Indian playback singer, actor & had voiced for various movies of different languages like Punjabi, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil. Sonu Nigam had won Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer award more than a dozen times for songs like Saathiya and Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Sonu Nigam son of Agam Kumar Nigam and Shobha Nigam hailed from a singing family. He has two sisters Meenal and Neekita. Sonu Nigam was married to Madhirima on 15th February 2002 and has a son Neevan born in 2007.
He started his singing career when he was just three years old. He made his Bollywood debut at the age of 19. He hosted the television singing talent competition Sa Re Ga Ma in the year 1995 and soon became very famous. His title song of the film Kal Ho Na Ho is one of the modern legends. He has also released several pop albums even acted in some films.
Sonu Nigam takes part in charities in India and abroad. He has worked for a number of cancer organizations, leprosy organizations, Dignity Foundation, women welfare organizations, earthquake relief measure, Kargil war affected families, HIV/AIDS causes, etc.
