Gippy Grewal (Rupinder Singh Grewal) is an actor and singer from Ludhiana, Punjab, India born on 2nd January 1983. He rose to fame from his hit single Phulkari which became immensely popular. His first album was released in May 2002 titled Chakk Ley. Its music was given by Atul Sharma. Mel Karade Rabba is his debut movie, released in 2010. He followed that up with a lead role in Jihne Mera Dil Luteya which became the biggest hit in Punjabi cinema when it released.
His released albums include - Chakk Ley, Aaja Wey Mitra, Mele Mittaran De, Phulkari 2, Akh Larh Gayi, Chandi De Challe, Desi rock star, My Time To Shine and Talwar. Gippy Grewal is married to Ravneet Kaur and has two sons. Gippy Grewal launched his production house called, Gurfateh Films, in the name of his youngest son.
In 2015, Grewal entered Bollywood with a guest appearance in the comedy-drama film Dharam Sankat Mein. He then made his full acting debut in Bollywood with the romantic-comedy film Second Hand Husband.
